A Creative Opus...written without edit..simple and true

I am finished with what I began about a month and a half ago. Tomorrow is opening day of our store. What do I hope to accomplish and why did I even begin such a big undertaking?? Because it should be done. This is not just a craft supply/ hippie shop. I am attempting to make an artistic meeting place in rural PA. I want to give everyone a chance to express themselves. To meet and share ideas. Granted it is still a business at heart..I think I have stated on more than one occasion. "I am full of ideas not money" but the shop is truly what people make of it. I am living in the unknown but I have to believe that even if just for awhile some art or music is sold and people leave with a smile on their face then this time in my life has been completely worth it. To be quite honest this began when we came into a reasonable amount of money -not a fortune- but enough. Granted we could have gotten a big tv or some other unnecessary luxury that would sit in our home and make us falsely content with ourselves...however we took a chance and made something not just for us but for everyone willing to participate. So I hope anyone who reads this and is able stops tomorrow at 1106 Philadelphia Ave, Northern Cambria, PA... and says hello and joins me in the endless creative possibilities...Much Peace and Respect

I have nothing to report...I am off to make a few new jewelry pieces to be placed in a local business because...well.. some members of your family can be awesome. I have been flooding my Myspace and Facebook pages with new members. I shall advertise until my fingers bleed...but first I must create more product...I will post pics when done...Now a brief bit of Music..

Hello to all...Why am I here???

That is a big question...why am I here? My name is Margaret and I have recently begun the long hard leap into creating my own small business. I have been in love with the arts all of my life. Throughout all my years of schooling, art class was always my saviour, the one thing to look forward to during an otherwise terrible and awkward day for me.I grew out of my awkward phase and managed to find love and start a family of my own.
But after many years I have returned to my original love. From this reunion sprang the idea for Kent Krafts. I sell not only my original art and portrait work but hemp jewelry, soaps, incense, candles. Some of these things you can find on my etsy site. I have also sold my items at some craft shows and even out of my own backyard here in PA.
This blog is for the sharing of my ideas, my thoughts on the world, my love of music, and to showcase and spread the news on my little business Kent Krafts............
